Simataï presents… Simataï!

Whether you have been following Simataï from the start of our adventure or whether you have only just discovered us, perhaps you would like to know more about our company. The way the story goes is that our little postproduction studio has grown a whole lot bigger since it first opened: we are now present in Asia and North Africa so that we can meet your requests as quickly as possible. But if you think that we’re going to rest on our laurels, think again! We fully intend to continue our development, and to celebrate this, we will soon be unveiling to you our new visual identity! Simataï: a small office that kept growing

Let’s take a trip back in time. It was in 2005 that it all got off to a start when Stéphane Ledoux, working in a photo lab with retouchers, came up with the idea of delegating certain retouching tasks that took too much time. This is why he decided to offshore image clipping and cleansing activities to Shenzhen, China. And Simatai, in fact, is the Chinese name of one of the finest sections of the Great Wall of China.

Little by little, the company opened up to external clients. In 2015, Stéphane Ledoux gave a new boost to Simataï, namely by creating Simataï Factory and launching a production unit in Vietnam. In 2017, a new office was set up in Tunisia to meet rising demands from Simataï’s clients. Every year since 2015, the team has been expanding at an incredible rate… to our sheer delight!

What can Simataï do for you?

Historically, Simataï took care of image cleansing and clipping, then gradually the company geared itself towards e-commerce. Over time, new services have been added to fill out our offer:

• Ghost or invisible mannequins;
• Staging;
• 3D…

Since 2020, Simataï has also been offering a high-end video-montage service. Indeed, as we keep an eye on the latest developments in your sector, we have noticed that videos are increasingly a must.

In addition, our offshore postproduction service delivers results at record speeds. Thanks to our Parisian, Vietnamese and Tunisian teams, we can meet all your needs within 24 hours. What’s more, our Simataï Factory tool, developed with our partner Wayqoop, makes things much easier for you!

The values we support

When we chose to offer offshore services, we made a vow to blend into the local culture. This is why we hired and trained talent on the spot, and are now proud of founding a big international family!

There are many reasons why Simataï chose Vietnam first of all. It’s a place where costs are lower of course, but it also offers other advantages: its time difference with France, the quality of its infrastructures, and the fact that operators speak French, enabling better communication among the teams and a better understanding of client demands. It was also important for us to find a country with an image culture as close as possible to that of France.

Otherwise, have you noticed our recent focus on our CSR and CER policy? The reason is simple: we are absolutely determined to be an ethical company and we believe that every little action can yield great results! For this reason, we have set up a number of initiatives:

• Sponsorship of beehives to contribute to the preservation of bees;
• Purchase of trees with EcoTree to create carbon sinks;
• Partnership with REACH with the aim of training underprivileged young Vietnamese people;
• Preservation of a coral reef with Coral Guardian.

Why change our image?

Ever since its creation, Simataï has taken on a number of logos. To usher Simataï into a new era, we have decided to revamp its logo. You will soon discover a smoother, better-structured, more refined design. We’re looking forward to sharing it with you!

Our aim? To give an updated and high-quality image of our services. We believe that our visual identity should reflect our knowhow which is worthy of the biggest postproduction studios. By injecting a new dynamic to our brand, we intend to let the world of high-end e-commerce know that we are present, by its side, for all visual content for online stores, whether images or videos.
